“I had a rectangular-shaped backyard with an odd-shaped pool that was essentially divided into two separate areas, and I wanted it to be one continuous space that was contemporary, Zen and that would require no maintenance on my part. I gave Ken a stack of pictures from magazines for inspiration in terms of color and modern aesthetics, and from there he created a gorgeous design that flowed from north to south with stunning focal points—a custom-poured, under-lit cement bench, horizontal dark wood fence, fire element, and the perfect maintenance-free plants. Every day when I look out of my kitchen window, I feel so lucky to see this beautiful, finished space with the exact look I always wanted.”
